What I use and why

• Contact form: the name, email address, subject and message you choose to send. I use these details to read and reply to your request and handle any follow-up. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in handling and responding to messages; if you ask about a potential contract, processing may be necessary to take steps you request before entering into it.
• Article view count: the site increments a total for an article when it is loaded. The application counter does not build profiles or record unique visitors or a visitor identifier.
• Language preference: when you choose a language, the site saves that preference in a first-party cookie for up to one year so it can remember it on later visits. An introductory-screen preference is also kept in your browser’s session storage.

This site does not use advertising analytics or profiling tools. The hosting provider may process technical connection and request data to deliver, secure and troubleshoot its service, as described in its own privacy notice.

Who receives the information

The site is hosted by Vercel and uses its infrastructure services, including the database for article counts. To deliver the site, Vercel may process technical data such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, system configuration, and request metadata (for example, path, browser, timestamp and outcome). Vercel states that runtime logs on the Hobby plan are retained for one hour; other service data is handled under its privacy notice. Contact form messages pass through a Vercel-hosted function, then are transmitted through Resend and delivered to Alex Paglino’s email inbox, provided by Google. Vercel states that its DPA for processing customer data as a processor applies to Pro and Enterprise plans; this deployment uses the Hobby plan. How long information is kept

Contact messages are kept in the email inbox only for as long as needed to respond and manage the conversation, then deleted unless they must be retained to meet a legal obligation or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Aggregate article view totals may be kept without an individual expiry because they are not linked to a visitor.

Your rights

Where GDPR provides, you can request access, correction, erasure or restriction of your information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also request portability where applicable and withdraw consent if processing is based on consent. Contact me at the email above. You can also complain to your competent data protection authority, including Bulgaria’s Commission for Personal Data Protection, or the authority where you live or work.

Sending the form

Providing information in the form is optional, but without your name, email and message I may not be able to reply. I do not use messages to send newsletters or marketing. The site does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
